Creative Production Manager/Unigraphics and Falcon Media

This position is the key visual and pre-production position for Falcon Media and also for the sub unit of UniGraphics. This position divides time according to the needs of both entities. As production manager of Falcon Media, the position oversees the production of several student publications as well as assigned projects. This position identifies, hires, trains, mentors, and directs design students and co-op students that work as production assistants. As Creative Manager of UniGraphics, this position provides art direction and manages the creation, production and delivery of graphic design projects and publications for University departments, student organizations, individuals and community clients.

  • Creative direction of UniGraphics projects from conception to delivery, including creative direction, design, budget, production, and client relations.
  • Art direction for both Falcon Media and UniGraphics, including delegating projects to interns and co-op students, review and oversight of the design process to develop students’ skills and meet or exceed our clients expectations while adhering to and implementing University branding and design standards.
  • Manage the day-to-day production process of Falcon Media and UniGraphics, including hiring and training co-op students, and overseeing the daily production process of the BG News, while integrating into the production process, the production schedules of other unit student publications. Primary contact with external printing vendor as well as developing print quote. Create all initial invoice billing.  
  • Training Student Personnel. Every year 4 to 5 co-op students are trained as production supervisors for the BG News. UniGraphics employs 3 to 4 design interns each year and initial training is provided along with consistent on-going mentoring on the job and/or on a per project basis.  
  • Miscellaneous. Maintain equipment and identify and recommend outside services and new equipment as needed. Develop professional skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visuals Communication Technology, Marketing, Communication, Popular Culture, Computer Graphics, Fine Arts or related field.  Degree must be conferred at the time of application. 

The following experience is required:

  • 6 months of graphic design experience



Full-time, Administrative staff position available. Administrative Grade Level 355. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Full benefit package available.
