The Medical Laboratory Science Program at Bowling Green State University (BGSU), Bowling Green, Ohio is seeking applicants for a full-time, qualified-rank, nine-month renewable appointment. The Medical Laboratory Science Program is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science (NAACLS). The Medical Laboratory Science Program seeks individuals to join our undergraduate program during an exciting time of growth and new opportunities.

The Medical Laboratory Science program is in the Department of Public and Allied Health which is located in the College of Health and Human Services. The Department of Public and Allied Health also supports undergraduate and graduate degrees in Allied Health, Food and Nutrition, Nursing, and Public Health. Together these programs provide excellent opportunities for applied research, internships, and collaborations. Primary Responsibilities: 
Teach Medical Laboratory Science courses based on the needs of the program, which may include clinical microbiology, clinical chemistry, immunology, immunohematology, hematology or related courses. 
Participate in program and curriculum development for the Medical Laboratory Sciences Program.
Advise students in the Medical Laboratory Science Program, as well as pre-professional students in the Department of Public and Allied Health.
Promote the Medical Laboratory Science Program through the development of marketing materials and recruitment activities.
Ensure compliance with all national accreditation and credentialing standards for the profession of Medical Laboratory Science.
Assist the Program Director with reaccreditation and preparation of annual assessment reports on a routine and as needed basis.
Serve as an active member of the College of Health and Human Services, Department of Public and Allied Health, and Medical Laboratory Science Program.
Participate in related service and scholarly activities as appropriate.
Perform other job-related tasks as may relate to maintaining and improving the quality of the education program.
Minimum Qualifications: 
An earned Master of Science in a health and human services discipline.
Teaching experience in a NAACLS accredited Medical Laboratory Sciences Program.
Five years of work experience in the clinical laboratory.
Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Board of Certification (BOC).
Preferred Qualifications:
Laboratory management and laboratory activity development experience.
Current clinical experience in the clinical laboratory
