The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Bowling Green State University is seeking qualified rank faculty member to contribute to the department’s forward momentum. An individual is sought who will foster excellence in clinical and academic training in our CAA accredited speech-language pathology program, with potential opportunities to participate in undergraduate education as well.  Our department’s faculty members are engaged in a wide range of teaching and research activities, including doctoral mentoring, innovative pedagogies and the scholarship of teaching and learning, and national and international research collaborations. The department has ties with BGSU’s J. P. Scott Center for Neuroscience, Mind and Behavior and many other departments and programs across campus. The Speech & Hearing Clinic is an integral part of our master’s clinical education, and we have community partnerships expanding opportunities for our students’ clinical experiences. 

The qualified rank (non-tenure track) faculty position is for the rank of Assistant Clinical Professor in Communication Sciences and Disorders, speech-language pathology emphasis, available August 2020. This is an academic year (nine-month) appointment with possible summer employment, if desired. Duties include clinical teaching and supervision of students in the M.S. in speech-language pathology program, undergraduate and/or graduate academic teaching, and participation in related service activities as appropriate.

Master’s degree in speech-language pathology, Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), and Ohio license in speech-language pathology (or eligible) required. The successful applicant must have a minimum of five years clinical experience as a certified SLP, experience in clinical teaching/supervision, and have completed a minimum of 2 hours continuing education in the area of clinical supervision. Applicants with university clinical and academic teaching experience will receive preference. Pediatric clinical experience desirable.
