Director of Nursing and School Director, College of Health and Human Services, Associate or Full Professor, full-time, 12-month, tenure-track/tenured position starting January 2020.

Primary Responsibilities 
- Administratively responsible for all activities of the program; reporting directly to the Dean of the College of Health and Human Services
- Establish and maintain program accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE); responsible for coordinating the Program’s compliance with all expected standards and rules
- Develop and maintain a contemporary and evidence-based Bachelor of Science in Nursing curriculum that meets accreditation standards and achieves program goals and expected outcomes
- Provide leadership, vision, and strategic direction for the Nursing Program
- Provide faculty and staff with mentorship and regular evaluations, to include an organized professional development plan in the areas of teaching, research, and service
- Plan and administer the Nursing Program budget and financial resources to support the current and anticipated program needs, to include academic and clinical education, faculty, facilities, and equipment needs
- Lead strategic planning activities for the Nursing Program
- Expected to assume an appropriate teaching load in consultation with the Dean
- Service and scholarship responsibilities commensurate with faculty rank and position 
Minimum Qualifications 
- Ph.D., in Nursing;
- Graduated from an accredited nursing program;
- Experience for at least five years in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse; two of which have been as a faculty member in a registered nursing education program.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN);
- Current, unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse, must get Ohio licensure upon hire;  
- Proven record of scholarship as evidenced by peer reviewed publications/grants;
- Active in professional activities at local, state, and/or national levels.
 
Preferred Qualifications 
- Board Certified, Nurse Educator, NLN;
- Experience with curriculum development;
- Successful securing external funding for nursing program development;
- Current or previous experience as a Program Director or related;
- Understanding of higher education and contemporary clinical practice for leadership in nursing education
- Knowledge of legislative, regulatory, legal, and practice issues affecting clinical education, students, and the profession of nursing.
