Assistant Clinical Professor - Public and Allied Health - Food and Nutrition

The Food and Nutrition Program at Bowling Green State University is seeking applicants for a 12-month, qualified-rank faculty position at the Assistant Clinical Professor level. The Food and Nutrition Program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). This position is non-renewable.

The Food and Nutrition Program is in the Department of Public and Allied Health, which is located in the College of Health and Human Services. The Department of Public and Allied Health also supports undergraduate and graduate degrees in Allied Health, Medical Laboratory Science, Nursing, and Public Health. Teach food and nutrition courses in the undergraduate Dietetics and Nutrition Sciences degree programs using traditional and active-learning pedagogies
Provide administrative support for the Dietetic Internship program
Participate in program and curriculum development for the Food and Nutrition Program
Advise students in the Food and Nutrition Program
Mentor and supervise undergraduate and graduate teaching assistants in the Food and Nutrition Program
Promote the Food and Nutrition Program through the development of marketing materials and recruitment activities
Ensure compliance with all national accreditation and credentialing standards for the nutrition and dietetics profession
Participate in related service activities as appropriate
Perform other job-related tasks as may relate to maintaining and improving the quality of the education program
Minimum Qualifications
Earned master’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field
Minimum three years teaching experience in an ACEND-accredited educational program
Minimum three years clinical practice experience in the nutrition and dietetics profession
Credentialed as a Registered Dietetian (RD)/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) through the Commission on Dietetics Registration (CDR)
Preferred Qualifications
Teaching experience in face-to-face, online, and active-learning settings
Laboratory management and/or curriculum development experience
