The Department of Psychology at Bowling Green State University invites applications for the Director of Clinical Training, a full-time, tenured position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. Start date is January 2022.

As Director of Clinical Training, provide leadership of the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program including maintaining APA accreditation, coordinating external student clinical placements, and working collaboratively with the Department Chair to promote inclusive excellence in training, education and research
Maintain an active research program that results in publishing in peer-reviewed journals and obtaining external funding for research 
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in clinical psychology; supervise Master’s and PhD student research
Provide service to the Department, College, University, and profession
Ph.D. in Psychology from an APA-accredited clinical program
Meets criteria for tenure at the Associate- or Full- level at BGSU, including scholarly record, teaching effectiveness, and record of service. Licensed Psychologist who is license-eligible as a Psychologist in Ohio
 
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience as a Director of Clinical Training, other leadership experience in academia, or experience as a site visitor for the APA Commission on Accreditation
Research interests that align with our health psychology, clinical-community psychology, clinical child psychology, or psychology of spirituality program areas

Information about Program and College/BGSU
The Department of Psychology at BGSU enjoys a nationally ranked doctoral program that offers specializations in clinical, industrial-organizational, developmental, and neural-cognitive sciences. The clinical area follows the scientist-practitioner model and has been continuously accredited by APA since 1970, receiving the highest level (then 7 years) of re-accreditation in 2016. Within the clinical area, areas of specialty include child/adolescent, behavioral medicine, community, and religion/spirituality. The new hire will join Clinical faculty members Eric Dubow, William O’Brien, Catherine Stein, Annette Mahoney, Carolyn Tompsett, Abby Braden, Joshua Grubbs, and Dryw Dworsky (Director of Psychological Services Center). In all, the department includes 22 faculty members, about 100 graduate students, and over 500 undergraduate majors. The faculty are committed to excellence in teaching and research. The department fosters an inclusive environment through faculty participation in the NSF-funded ALLIES program, a student-led Diversity Committee, and efforts to weave attention to diversity throughout clinical training.
