Assistant Teaching Professor - Natural and Social Sciences - Biology

The Natural and Social Sciences Department at Bowling Green State University Firelands College is seeking an Assistant Teaching Professor in Biology. This is a full-time, non-tenure track, nine-month renewable faculty appointment. 

Primary Responsibilities
Teach 12 credit hours per semester in general biology. 
Online and evening teaching may be required.
Participate in professional development.
Participate in department, college, and university service activities.
Minimum Qualifications
A master’s degree in biology or a closely related discipline at the time of appointment
Evidence of effective teaching potential in undergraduate biology courses, which may include but is not limited to graduate teaching assistantships, teaching evaluations, and graduate supervisor/peer evaluations.
Evidence of a commitment to diversity and inclusion in the profession.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching biology courses (lecture and lab) at the undergraduate level, including as an appointed faculty, adjunct faculty, or graduate student.
Evidence of teaching effectiveness, which may include but is not limited to teaching evaluations, peer evaluations, evidence of innovative teaching practices, and experience with online instruction in biology.
