Position Title: Full-time, renewable, qualified ranked professor position at the Assistant Teaching Professor rank.

The Department of Visual Communication and Technology Education in the College of Technology, Architecture & Applied Engineering is seeking to fill a full time, qualified ranked professor position, who will teach in both the online master’s program in Instructional Design and Technology, and the online baccalaureate degree completion program in Management and Technology.

Primary Responsibilities
- Teach and develop graduate level courses in instructional design and technology, undergraduate level courses in management and technology, and other innovative courses relevant to the candidate's areas of expertise. 
- Mentor students on program and career advancement.
- Assist with the ongoing development of the programs, including refining program courses, promoting the programs, establishing internship partnerships, and recruiting students. 
- Provide appropriate service to the department, college, university, and the profession.
Minimum Qualifications
- An earned doctorate or completion of all coursework (ABD) from an accredited institution in instructional design, instructional technology, learning sciences, education, or a closely related discipline (degree must be conferred by start date).
- At least one year of experience in designing and/or delivering online courses/training within the discipline.
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability or potential to teach and develop instructional design and technology courses on topics including instructional design principles, multimedia design, e-learning design and delivery, and so on.
- Demonstrated ability or potential to teach and develop management and technology courses on topics including computer-mediated communication, project management, technological forecasting, media usability studies, and so on.
- Experience working with adult learners.
- Experience working within public and private sector as instructional designers, information technology specialists, network administrators, or related jobs. 
- Supervisory or managerial experience.

The Department of Visual Communication and Technology Education is a multidisciplinary unit with 10 fulltime faculty members. The Department consists of an undergraduate program in Visual Communication Technology (VCT), an online baccalaureate completion program in Management and Technology (M&T), and an online Master’s program in Instructional Design and Technology (IDT). Among these, VCT and M&T are ATMAE accredited programs. The Department enrolls over 500 undergraduate students and around 50 graduate students.
