Associate/Full Professor of Accounting and Management Information Systems – Department Chair and Robert W. and Patricia A. Maurer Family Distinguished Endowed Professorship in Accounting

The Chair will generally lead the department faculty in developing and maintaining innovative programs, actively engage with departmental alumni, employers and accounting professionals, develop a supportive research environment in the department, maintain AACSB accreditation requirements for the department, manage departmental personnel and budget, schedule classes, and ensure efficient and effective department operations. The Chair typically teaches one course per semester and is expected to engage in research to maintain qualifications as a scholarly academic.

The appointment also includes the Robert W. and Patricia A. Maurer Family Distinguished Endowed Professorship in Accounting. The Maurer Professor shall work to promote the accounting profession as an academic field of research, study and teaching, while facilitating strong and continuing linkages with the external community to enable student contact with members of the accounting profession, business enterprises and other organizations served by accountants. It is also expected that the Maurer Professor will provide seminars, lectures, and research in the field of accounting and will work to facilitate internships and other learning opportunities for students.

PhD. or D.B.A. with an accounting concentration from AACSB accredited university,
