Position Title: Assistant Professor, Tenure Track Faculty –Industrial and Systems Engineering w/ focus Logistic

Bowling Green State University is searching for a Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Industrial and Systems Engineering focusing in the area of Logistics with a start date August 7, 2023. The individual will teach and develop undergraduate and graduate level courses and perform externally funded research in areas such as logistics, supply chain modeling, and other industrial and systems engineering areas. The successful candidate will help to continue to develop the curriculum to ABET accreditation standards.

The College of Technology is undergoing a major transformation by creating a School of Engineering to replace the current Department of Engineering Technologies. The School of Engineering will host our current B.S. in Systems Engineering and M.S. in Logistic Systems Engineering and is scheduled to launch three additional engineering programs in Fall 2023 – Electronics and Computer engineering, Mechanical and Manufacturing engineering, and Robotics engineering.

Primary Responsibilities
- Teach and develop undergraduate and graduate level courses in Logistics and Industrial and Systems Engineering
- Conduct research that leads to high-quality peer-reviewed publications in relevant areas
- Conduct research that is supported by external funding
- Provide appropriate service to the department, college, university, and the profession
- Engage in a leadership role in the program

Minimum Qualifications:
- A doctoral degree in industrial and systems engineering, logistics engineering, or very closely related discipline is required. Individuals who expect to complete their Ph.D. before the start date of the contract (August 7, 2023) will be considered.
- Evidence of peer-reviewed publications in relevant research areas

Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of industry experience –or– at least 1 year of teaching and developing undergraduate/graduate courses at the university level
- Evidence of external funding in relevant areas
