Assistant Professor of Composition, Department of Musicology/Composition/Theory, College of Musical Arts, Bowling Green State University. Tenure-track faculty position available August 2023.

Primary Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and graduate applied composition. 
Teach undergraduate and graduate composition-related courses.
Participate in undergraduate and graduate recruiting. 
Contribute to the artistic and intellectual life of the College and University. 
Maintain a profile as an active composer/teacher on the state, regional, and national levels. 
Other duties will be assigned by the Chair or Dean depending upon the needs of the Department of Musicology/Composition/Theory and the College of Musical Arts.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Earned doctorate (PhD or DMA) in Composition (ABDs will be considered if degree is completed before August 2023.) 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Emerging or established composer of national/international stature, evidenced by participation in performances, professional organizations, recordings, publications.
  • Two years of university-level teaching experience.
  • Evidence of experience in one or more of the following areas: New Music Ensemble, music technology, music theory, commercial music, administration.
