The School of Media and Communication at Bowling Green State University invites applicants for a renewable non-tenure track instructor position in Strategic Communication beginning Fall 2019.  Responsibilities include teaching in our online professional Strategic Communication MA program, recruiting students for -- and advising students in -- the Strategic Communication MA program, and teaching undergraduate courses in organizational communication and related areas (e.g., those with a social media focus).

- Recruit students to enroll in the online professional MA in Strategic Communication
- Advise students enrolled in the online professional MA in Strategic Communication
- Teach MA courses in strategic communication, organizational communication, and social media online
- Teach face-to-face and online undergraduate courses in business and professional communication, small group communication, and organizational communication
- Provide service to the school, college, and university

Minimum Qualifications

- Ph.D. in Communication or another related field (e.g..Public Relations, Media). ABDs will be considered as long as the requirements for the degree are completed by the time of employment
- Experience teaching college-level courses in communication

Preferred Qualifications

- One year of full-time industry experience in the area of strategic communication, public relations, or organizational communication
- Experience with university graduate recruitment efforts
- Experience as instructor of record at the college level
- Experience teaching online

The School of Media and Communication  is located within the College of Arts and Sciences. The School currently has 31 full-time faculty with national and/or international reputations, and 600 undergraduate majors and 60 graduate students.
