The School of Media and Communication at Bowling Green State University invites applicants for a renewable non-tenure track instructor position in video production. This Multi-Camera Studio Television Instructor will teach a variety of courses within the School of Media and Communication, primarily multi-camera studio and live event production as well as introductory and intermediate classes in video and television production.

- Teach undergraduate multi-camera television and live event production courses
- Teach introductory video production courses
- Set up and operate multi-camera television studio
- Provide service to the school, college, and university

Required Qualifications:

- Master's Degree in Video / Television Production or Related Field (e.g., Film Production, Telecommunications)
- At least two years of professional experience in technical directing multi-camera studio productions

Preferred Qualifications:

- Two semesters of experience teaching video production at the college-level
- Experience in Virtual Sets
- Experience with live switching, instant replay, chyron, and teleprompter systems.
- Experience in Robotic Camera
- Studio Management Experience
- Experienced in Video and Television Field Production
- Experienced in Adobe Premier Pro

Information about Facilities, Program and College/BGSU
The School of Media and Communication is housed in the Kuhlin Center.  The Kuhlin Center is a unique production facility setting a standard for education in a production control room environment. Production spaces include a 1,740 sq. ft. studio equipped with an Electronic Theatre Control board, LED lighting and green cyc. There are multiple Grass Valley studio cameras, some of which are equipped for robotic operation. The 600 sq. ft. Production Control room is furnished with a Grass Valley Karrera switcher, Ross Trackless Studio with Virtual Sets for news, sports, weather and talk show applications. The Kuhlin Center also has a 300 sq. ft. Insert Studio, a 900 sq. ft. Audio Recording Studio, two student managed Radio Stations, and a Convergence Lab all which are patchable to the Production Control Room for diverse applications.

The School of Media and Communication  is located within the College of Arts and Sciences. The School currently has 31 full-time faculty with national and/or international reputations, and 600 undergraduate majors and 60 graduate students. The School offers Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Arts in Communication degrees in Media Production and Studies and Communication and Bachelor of Science in Journalism.  We offer Master of Arts and Doctoral degrees in Media and Communication.
