Salary commensurate with education & experience

Instructor, Applied Statistics & Operations Research 
Full-time, non-tenure track, one-year appointment; renewable subject to budget and satisfactory annual evaluations. 
Four (4) positions.

- Candidates are expected to teach four three-credit hour courses per semester (or equivalent) at undergraduate/graduate level and develop and modify quantitative courses either in person, on-line or a combination of these.
- Additionally, professional development to maintain skills as well as University/professional service are also expected.
- Opportunities for course releases for consulting opportunities in the Center for Business Analytics may also exist over time.

 

- Master’s degree in statistics, operations research, management science or related field, earned as of the start date of contract
- Demonstrated record in teaching/scholarship/service

Preferred Qualifications:

- Ph.D. Degree
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness
- Prior professional experience in business especially in analytics related roles

The Department of Applied Statistics and Operations Research offers a specialization in Business Analytics and Intelligence and a minor in Applied Statistics for undergraduates.  At the graduate level, the department offers a M.S. in Applied Statistics jointly with the Department of Mathematics and Statistics.  The Department also participates and offers courses in the professional M.S. in Analytics program.  The Department operates the Center for Business Analytics which is actively involved in assisting regional organizations and companies on statistics, operations research and business analytics related projects.  For more information, please visit:
