Writes large or complex computer programs; performs systems design and analysis; maintains, debugs and modifies existing systems; investigates problems and performs feasibility studies; creates and administrates databases; manages interfaces with remote systems; creates and distributes reports; designs and creates websites, emails, publications and other graphics; performs related duties as required.

  • Writes large or complex computer programs, involving high-level languages (e.g. PHP/Laravel, Javascript, SQL) including applications for collection, compilation and management of data from various sources (e.g., web sites, databases, external systems).
  • Performs systems design and analysis by establishing file requirements and processing specifications for systems in use. Prepares and maintains all necessary documentation.
  • Performs maintenance and modification of programs currently in production to keep them responsive to user needs and to assure efficient operation and maximum production. Designs corrective measures. Prepares operational procedures, forms and instructional materials used in implementation.
  • Performs preliminary investigations and feasibility studies. Establishes user contacts to define specific program needs and to resolve specific program problems. Makes recommendations. Prepares test data to be used in program verification and validation. Advises management of technical requirements.
  • Administrates databases by creating and updating schemas, populating data and reviewing and resolving performance issues.
  • Manages interfaces with remote systems (eg. PeopleSoft) by creating and maintaining the import and export of files. Writes programs to interface with existing web services.  Administrates databases by creating and updating schemas, populating data and reviewing and resolving performance issues.
  • Creates and distributes reports of data in various formats, for clients on- and off-campus. Reports are made on both an ad hoc and routine basis. 
  • Designs, creates (including meeting web accessibility standards) and tests websites and emails using HTML, CSS and Javascript to meet web accessibility standards. Designs publications and graphics for various purposes. Delivers emails and text messages to various groups. 


Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's Degree required in Computer Science, MIS, Networking or related field.    Successful candidate must have Associate's degree conferred at the time of application.    

The following experience is required:

  • 1-2 years' experience in one of the following areas: programming, web development, information systems management or project management experience


Full-time, Administrative staff position available. Administrative Grade Level I54. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Full benefit package available.
